Semi-Blacked out MINI Badge...

Got bored while on leave and waiting for my grill and other associated black out parts to arrive, and decided to black out the majority of the front and rear MINI badges. I had seen totally blaked out badges and decided to leave the MINI and the small ring as the only shineys...once the grill and other parts get here I'll do the light rings and area around the grill in one shot...just got impatient and wanted to play with the Plastidip.

I am new to North American Motoring. Just ordered a 2010 R56. Chili Red with black roof and bonnet stripes. We also ordered the sport package with black bridge spoke wheels and the factory installed aero kit (non JCW). We didn't get any other options except for the armrest. My husband convinced me that a manual transmission is the way to go so I have 6 weeks to learn how to drive!

My wife learned in about 3 days and she got MINI fever and drives let say rather "spiritually". You are going to love it!

I just pull the red line up to 7000 RPM, that great!!!

I done from A.motor Thailand...They claim that I call pull the red line to 8000-9000rpm, if I change the light weight piston, piston rod and flywheel<to single mass flywheel>

now my car run great...

Where did you order the wheels from? Did they come with the new lugs or did you have to buy them separately?

Drew about $1500 total with lugs, mounted, balanced, and shipped from discounttireddirect.com. only took about 3-4 weeks to get them here. longest wait was for them to get them from Tenzo.

That's cool. I really like the Drag DR-33s and they're pretty cheap too. $1100 shipped. I just wish discounttiredirect would post wheel weights.

Swoosh- no I didnt use Plastidip. I can't get it any where out here or can't find it out here at least. I used a plastic paint for it. It's chipped a little now so I need to re-do them. Thanks on the rim's, I just ordered a red beltline to match the lip on the rims. and they look even better now with no tire gap! She's SLAMMED!!!! I can't even fit a finger between the wheels and the molding.

hey tmo...i am in switzerland and can't find the plasti-dip anywhere too. so, i'm going back to Canada and pick some up. i've been reading the threads and a lot of people say that is the way to go for blackout. it lasts pretty long too and easy to redo as the stuff peels off and the chrome is still new. i'm going to do my front grill, headlight rings(like yours) and taillights with the Plasti-Dip.

your ride does look wicked. put up pics when you have the red beltline installed.

love your filter pic! bet the sound is sweet.

Here's a few pics of her slammed. Gotta raise her up some speed bumps in Spain are like 3ft tall and like 6ft wide!

It doesn't rub! lol Surprisingly and thankfully too! But I have to raise it up a little more. maybe about another inch until I get back to the states and I don't have to worry about HUGE speed bumps.
