Just thought I would post a couple pics. of the Way Motor Works Race car. These were taken last night Mar 11th. And yes I plan on driving this car to Vegas next Monday. Wish me luck, we have some late nights ahead. Oh and I put the High Speed Racing seat I have in the Car on the website on Sale. You think the paint will dry on the way there.

 

Is that Pure Silver? (It's a bit difficult to tell on account of the white balance being off.)

Yes it's pure silver. The white is off because the pic was taking in the paint booth.

Is that cardboard in the door?

 

Nope not cardboard in the door. Just the factory primer. The roof panel had cardboard glued to it for sound insulation.

 

So what does a passenger get to sit in (on?)? A bucket? See ya soon, Way! Safe travels.

 

I think the rules for the driving school were that driver and pass have to have the same restraints. So I'll drink some milk and get another for the pass side.

Too bad; I was hoping you'd keep it real, redneck style, and stay with primer grey, or primer red if you're feeling flashy. ;-)

 

I would have just kept it in primer, but rules say no damaged or primered areas.

 

Just wanted to update everyone. I drove the car for the first time today, ever. It runs pretty good, we'll see for real at the track. It's not done yet but I still have a little more than 24hrs before I leave for AMVIV. So I'll grab a red bull and get back to work.

Oh yeah wait till you see what we did with the paint. Doesn't look too back for building the car in 3 weeks.

 

Wish I could see it next week. I'll have to wait 'til Sebring.
