Texas 2011 Cooper S

My oldest if she holds meets the responsibility requirements will be driving in the next year and a half. *Until then, I get to play. *Official color is eclipse gray metallic, commonly I'd call it gray with a strong hint of army green.

Been watching this unit online for a while on the dealer lot, out of my price target range. They started in the last couple weeks marking it down, right at $5k in total at 100 days on the lot.

Seems the previous single owner was an enthusiast. It's loaded with premium, sport, and convenience packages also added JCW equipment, tuning kit, aero kit, dual sport gauges, rockers, rear spoiler, and rockers. Best of all is the manual transmission.

I'm not certain what all a JCW factory car comes with, however the only thing for certain I know is not present is the brake kit.

I'll bet you a steak dinner (I'm local) you won't be giving that to your "oldest" in a year and a half.

Your right, "giving" is not in the lexicon around here. Any seat time is earned on an a temporary basis.

Responsibility, decisions, consequences for those decisions, all a factor.

I'll take mine just north of medium, depending on ounce weight maybe a baked potato or grilled corn on cob would be just swell.

Ah, "temporary basis". I thought we were talking 16th birthday present. Thank you for not being one of those parents.

Yeah after you drive it awhile you may not give it up.

Since it's missing the JCW brakes and has standard side scuttles it may not be a factory JCW. It could be a dealer installed kit. You need to run the vin to be sure, but normally they don't remove the brakes before selling them.

All my research indicates it's simply MCS car, not a factory JCW car. It appears all the JCW equipment was added by the previous owner at some point and time.

What are the side scuttles? The rocker panels?

Definitely a fun car, has a unique feel that makes driving fun. Hoping to get her into local auto-x events with some real instructors, so she can really learn the love of driving.

Welcome to NAM! Your oldest will be very lucky to have that MINI. Looks like a great find. It's great that you're going to get her behind the wheel at auto x events. I always love seeing other females getting into the racing scene. I'm sure she'll do great!

The side scuttles are the chrome housings holding the turn signals on the A panels.

The rockers you have are the JCW body kit ones.

Thanks defining the side scuttles. Learn something new every day here. Previously owned Mustangs, Camaros, a few scattered Pontiacs, scuttles wasn't in the lexicon.
