I gave up on wheels but now I got a itch for the O.Z. Indy HLT wheels. Have you folks had to modify your fenders to get 18x8, 45mm offset 215/40 tires to fit?
That size is exactly what I had to fit on my 19' JCW and it worked with 5mm spacers. I used the ECS Tuning Spacer Fit Kit, to choose what would work best. The fit is perfect and the wheels are flush with the MINI. I could go with a larger spacer in the rear but why bother, it looks good enough for me. I'm also lowered and their is no rubbing at all.
215/40-18s, 225 will fit but you'll have to go to 35 series, that just seemed a little to short of a sidewall for me. Even though all the calculators say that it isn't that big of a difference, guess it just depends on what brand of tire you go with.
Oh I decided a while ago, just always wondering "what if", haha. Would be nice to get 225s on there somehow, but it's probably not gonna happen for me.
205s on 16x7 +42. Audi A8 "winterfelgen" made by Fuchs.
I ordered one O.Z. Hyper GT wheel from tire rack to test fit. Baby steps, I'm scarred from the past when aftermarket wheels were still square and the bolt holes were off about 1" or so.
18 X 8 +35 w/ 225/40-18 Potenza RE760 Sport. rubbed at first, but now that a bit of plastic is gone from the inner wells and very inside of trim, they don't rub anymore. car is also lowered on NM springs
This is much lighter in color than any pic on the net. Tire rack's site shows it almost black. I didn't like the contrast against my Moonwalk Grey so I didn't bother test fitting it.
Something with the two different grey's didn't do it for me so I returned it. Looking into Advan RZ2's now, waiting to here from supplier/Japan if they clear the JCW caliper.
