NM Engineering 18" RSe10 JCW
Anyone try these with/without spacers on a F56 JCW? I'm trying to convince myself to get some aftermarkets wheels but I will not have spacers- can barely tolerate centering rings.
Machined silver might look cool on Moonwalk Grey with my chrome tidbits! |
stance it out bro!!! :)
Seriously, you might need to bump it out 5mms or so. you won't even be able to tell the difference. I have 17s on B14 coils and needed to space the rear because they were rubbing the suspension. |
Spacers and hub rings are the leading cause of Anxiety - in me at least. Why cant the factory use BBS out of the box or something like the Nismo 370Z wheels?

I have the RSe05 wheels and don't use or need spacers. If they had the machined finish in 17" I would have bought those instead of the gunmetal.

I did send out an email to Jerry @ NM Engineering and he said "I think 5mm spacers will be sufficient to clear the JCW brakes."
Almost ready to pull the trigger on these or the Vorsteiner V-FF 108's, both are going to need spacers. Decisions, decisions... https://i.imgur.com/i53UhjMm.jpg Attachment 193031 |
I dont understand why spacers cause you so much stress. They literally just go on the top hat of the brake rotor and you screw the lugs in.

Mainly because it's a reminder that it's not only non-factory but it also requires modifications to suit. Also, doesn't a spacer push the wheel off of the "top hat" that much more i.e. relying more on the lug nuts?
IMO in the 90's BMW started spec-ing nice looking BBS wheels, don't care much for the newer stuff out there. I think I'm just keeping my stock track wheels. |
