40 mm offset too much?

2019 f56 cooper s Planning to put these on.. 17 x 7.5 with 40 mmm offset. Calculations show that they will stick out 20 mm from stock. I am going to keep standard tire size of 17 x 205 x 45. Not going to drop it so hopefully arch strike is unlikely ( its only a daily driver). The goal was to remove the run flats and associated noise.. I really didn't want to affect the handling or make it look fatter than a Gen 3 already looks.

Too much?

tis black!

new Rim

Stock rim

Can't return if I mount the wheels so I have to decide based on rim only..

Run them. They’ll look good. I’d put a little wider tire still though but I think the offset looks just fine
