Countryman All4 wheel spacers?
 

Has anyone tried wheel spacers on their Countryman All4? All OEM rims - 17, 18, 19" - seem to be the same wheel width @ 7.5". My OEM 18's have an offset of 52mm and the Works 19's have an offset of 48mm. So I'm thinking I could go at least 4 mm wider. I've seen a variety of spacers for the Countryman: 5 mm, 10 mm (H&R), a lot of 12 mm for the Countryman and even larger. And I have the sport suspension. Just wondering what works, how far can you go before rubbing or going beyond flush with the fender flares. Don't want to go too rad, but give it some beef. Thoughts? Photos?

I have an S and am wondering the same thing. Would you be willing to let me know if you find anything out? TIA.

Running the Burger Motorsports 12mm wheel spacers on my All 4 with JCW 19's.

And IIRC the 15mm spacers didn't work well, right? Did you incur any additional costs swapping them out?

No. The 12's rub on really big dips in the front but I am also running the NM springs with stocks shocks for now.

Wzabrouski. I'm swapping from OEM 19" cross spokes offset 52 (supposedly) wheels to a set of aftermarket 18" wheels with an offset of 48. I'm also on kw v3 coilovers. I'd like to add spacers to bring the wheels more flush but I'm not sure how far I should go. Any recommendations?

As you know the fenders are thick on the countryman/Paceman and it seems to be flush AND low would be a difficult thing to achieve without banging on the fenders non stop. The f root wheels aren't to bad flush wise as they are now but the rears are horribly sunken in from the factory. Anyway, any tips would be great.

Term, what are you doing with the 19's your taking off?

Just to give you an idea: I have a CMS w/sport suspension. I'm riding on 19x8.0 et45 rims with 245/40/19 Sumitomo HTRZIII tires. The rear tires will rub if I hit large dips on the freeway (which happens once in a blue moon). No issues whatsoever with the fronts. I wager I wouldn't have any problems at all if a went with a slightly narrower tire.

When going wider then 15mm with a big wheel like 19" you might rub on bug bumps in the back. On smaller sizes you should be fine. The CM ride a bit higher in the wheel well then the hardtops, so you have a little extra room for travel, unless lowered.

Post up some pics, combos makes a difference, also it you are lowered.

Looks good on the front, nice and flush. Little bit of spacers makes the stance look much better, you notice it more in person. :)

Any noticeable difference in handling, good or bad, with 10-15 mm spacers?

I haven't noticed and differences either way. However since I put them on, I haven't pushed the car to its limits. But in everyday driving it drives the same to me.

Had to dig this up for a couple quick questions. I'm surprising the Wifey w/some simple Mods for her CMS ALL4. Biggest issue I feel it has is body roll due to high center of gravity. However, an RSB may be too aggressive for her. I was thinking a wider wheel stance would be just right.

Question;

I'm thinking of the BMS 15mm Spacers, any issues with these?
Will be running with stock wheels and suspension

Are these a straight up install, or will I need special trools? Not sure how the extended bolts get installed?

You will feel a little difference in the wider stance. Also depends on what wheels and tire you are running. The more low profile and the larger wheels the more you can feel the car track. With the spacers you can feel it a little more , but on the CM not as much as the smaller hardtops. See the link above on the tips for install and get our sets with the bolts for the correct additional length. Everything is linked above.

Anyone need a set of NM Springs to help out that new stance? I have a set that have less than 13K on them.

A set of spacer may help, but it is going to be a very small difference. Check out our WMW spacers they are very cost effective

But honestly the Rear sway bar is the best mod to reduce body roll. That is what I liked about it the most. On the soft setting I think your wife would be fine as it doesn't make snap oversteer.
