Sorry, don't know what movie you're referencing. What I meant to imply was, "Dude... what are you smoking? These are freaking S-Lites. $1000!? Divide by two and you have an asking price."

I've noticed lately asking prices for some common products have been rather high. Their choice but sucks for those coming here to look and possibly purchase.

I like the "dude" comment.

1000 is high for S-lites. It is a good deal instead of buying from the dealer, however you are going to have a hard time finding a sucker...I mean buyer for that price. I say come down alittle more, or just keep them as a back up set.

You might get a grand on eBay for rims and tires. Give it a shot.

Not to spark the neverending anti-runflat harangue, but... it looks to me like he isn't asking 1000 for S-lites, but for S-lites plus run-flats.

No no no.... he is saying:

"Mounted and Balanced by MINI
Total price = $1652/set + mounting and balancing labor

Asking $999 FIRM."

So he is saying, $999 for wheels and tires. You will then have to pay for shipping and mounting yourself.

/////////////////////////////////

To ss96dcm, maybe look at the current price for S-Lites w/runflats on this board to "nail" your price down. It seems both run-flats and S-lites don't sell anywhere close to their "new from the dealer" price.

You can try separating your wheels and tires for extra cash....

FS: New wheels AND Tires.... 0 miles... mounted and balanced

The sale is for wheels and tires, mounted and balanced. Basically what will be delivered to me on the vehicle. These will be replaced when I take delivery.

I also saw prices here for the same for around $600... but those had 7k or 10k miles one them... not exactly apples to apples since these will not see public roads.

I also saw a few sales that did capture $1000 or more here... because the sale did include new wheels and tires.

If I was looking for new wheels and tires OEM... this would be a great price compared to buying from the dealer. Thus, the FIRM price.

If they do not move here, I will look elsewhere. I plan on storing them up in boxes, so I doubt I will have a problem moving them... with time.

I just though I would offer these to the guys here... you know... fellow Motorers.

I could have asked the NEW price and worked my way down... but I rather just go down to the bottom price.

thanks for the feedback, though.

You know I just don't understand the mentality here. If the item for sale is too much money don't buy it. Well why not PM him & offer less. You guys have really piled on this poor fellow here & I don't get it. He's a new MINI owner & new to NAM. Nice welcome.

maybe I am missing something????

To those that think this is an unfair price...
Can you help me out and tell me where you are buying your tires? I would like to get those deep discounts too.

I am not sure how to make this ad any clearer... it is for new tires... worth $188 each from the Tirerack plus shipping. So really, I am only asking just over $200 for the NEW s-lites.

I too would like to save hundreds on tires, so if you have a place that saves you that much money, PLEASE SHARE!!! I still need to buy my summer wheels/tires and would like to pay less than the $1300 Tirerack price.
I'm sure everyone in NAM would like to know where you get NEW OEM run-flats for the MINIs for a few hundred bucks...

Individually, this is $450 for 4 NEW run-flats and $550 for NEW s-lites. Please let me know if you honestly think those prices are unreasonable... I'm actually thinking that price may be too low... I should be asking for the $600 everyone else is getting for s-lites around here and sell the runflats for $125-$150 each... BUT I am trying to help someone out here.

I know I am new here... and I think we only have a misunderstanding and nobody is trying to be rude... I'm sure everyone is really nice here in NAM.

BTW, I really would like to know where to get quality tires for low, low prices... So far the best I have found is the Tirerack.
