WTB: Winter Wheels/ Tires...AKA Snow Shoes.

I'm looking for a set of tires for my 03 MCS that are grrreat in snow! I don't care what the wheels look like- they can be scratched, curb checked, stealies, whatever just so long as they aren't cracked or bent!

I'm in the north Chicago burbs and will consider paying for shipping.

*I know the title says All Season, I tried to change it but it keeps defaulting. I'm more or less looking for designated winters. Thanks!

PM sent... tires on mine (R84) need to be replaced but you can have the
wheels for very cheap.

it seems we are all looking for snow tires and winter rims. minis handle the road any time any where but go no where in the snow. haha

Nyah, Minis handle the snow just fine, better than most actually - provided you have good snow tires! If you want to come up with a budget, just look at your insurance deductible, because that's what a decent of snows will save you. Check vdubdoug's setup (16" steelies from Tire Rack). They look fantastic.

meh, i don't care how it looks. Its winter- its going to be covered in salt grossness a good portion of the time anyhoot.

plus, i like stealies! I'm not against them, I just don't have the budget for a new set up. I blame YOU, student loan repayment. ugh...throwing a stick in my spoke you are...

I just sold mine locally, but just find a cheap set of 15" wheels (there's a set on e-bay if you cant find a set here) then go to Tire Rack and buy a set of 15" Blizzaks. They have them on clearance for $53 each.

Some of the more common streets I drive in town is Crystal Lake ave, 176, Rt14.

I swear I saw you on RTE 12 in Fox Lake last week Sunday or maybe the Sunday before that.

Aren't too many MINIs in the area (that I see), let alone with a Union Jack roof decal!

oh dang...i got excited thinking I had for the first time spotted someone.

i actually drive with my cloak of invisibility engaged, so no one has spotted me yet.
