I gouged the sidewall on one of mine and am looking for a used tire that I can run for another 5K-10K until I replace all four. Probably needs to be Seattle or Portland area as shipping costs probably make shipping cost prohibitive.

Shipping's not too bad, really, cost me only $12 to send one from Pittsburgh to NJ recently. Check FedEx Ground, package weight is ~24lb, package size is 24"x24"x9". You really only have to wrap the circumference with strong clear packaging tape to hold the label on (after all, these things are meant to handle what Mother Nature can dish out while supporting a one-ton+ car at 60+MPH...). If you want to be really ****, wrap the thing like a candy-cane using a garbage bag under clear plastic tape, it'll ship either way!

I may have a full set coming up for sale, but don't know yet... have to find time to get a replacement set (going non-runflat).

 

Thanks for reply. Like you, I'm biding time until my tires wear out to go non-runflat and probably aftermarket wheels. If I can't find used runflat, I'll just chance running my chewed up one until then, but it really has a nasty gouge and I'm slightly concerned that it might fail. OTOH, the whole idea of runflats is stiff/strong sidewalls, so perhaps it's mostly a cosmetic thing.
