Help please: 2006 Black MCS - is this a good price?

I can't speak to the condition yet, as I haven't seen it first hand. I have to say that Mini prices seem to be all over the map. Some dealers are just smoking crack with respect to what they're asking. This one is a private party sale.

Obviously, the miles are high for a 2006, but:

Mini Cooper S 2006 black on black
chrome mirrors
sun roofs
automatic with paddle shifting
"all options" (premium package, cold weather package, HID headlights, arm rest, cup holder, etc)
40 K miles and still under warranty.

also, the 2006 auto transmissions were the first of the better years, no?

Thanks in advance for all everyone's help.

I think you forgot to tell us what the asking price was.

The 2005 was the first year for the auto in the MCS. My wife has an '05 and it has been trouble free.

I would say that it's not a great price, but probably a fair one. However, my guess would be that it will probably be hard to sell because of the mileage. I bought my '03 MC last November with 85K miles on it. The used car dealer who had it finally dumped it for a great price because it had been sitting around on his lot for almost 3 months due to the mileage. So if I were you I would expect the owner to be willing to wiggle a little.

thanks so much. I think that she has had it for like a month. I think that if I could get it under 19, it wouldn't be bad - like $18.5?

there's a HUGE $$ diff between like 25 and 40k mileage...

Crazy prices in general

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like a lot of people are trying to sell 2005 MCS with like 25k-30k miles for $19,500-20. Automatics are even harder to come by.

Anyway, back to the black MCS that I started this thread with - the owner definitely got every possible option- the center gauge cluster (I actually haven't come across a used one with this yet), the ipod, backup sensors, MFSC, paddles, etc. As I mentioned, she is asking $20k. Original sticker was >31k (she is going to scan it to me).

So, my question is: this car has a bunch of extra stuff and has like 41k miles on it. Obviously, it is a 2006, which is good, but the 41k of miles def hurts it. That being said, I've seen 41k miles on a 2005 go for close to $20, and didn't have as much stuff.

At what price does this become a pretty good deal? $18,500, 19,000?
