Webb Motorsports back from Vegas
Webb Motorsports back from Vegas
We had a blast in Vegas, and just wanted to make a quick post thanking everyone!
To all of our customers and supporters, it was great to see you! I wanted to thank every person that came by and said hi and gave us some encouraging words. It is you folks who make it all worth it.
I also wanted to say what a great environment AMVIV always is. It was fun to catch up with everyone, and even work with some folks.
Vicky and I had a great time tossing back a few pints with many of you (and I am an honorary MININUT, and got to be a part of an all Russian club speech!!).
Besides my customers, I'd like to specially thank a few of the vendors I got a chance to talk and work with as well - Chad from Detroit Tuned helped out with a belt tensioner for one of our pulley customers, George from MINI-Madness helped out with some spark plugs, Kellen from Craven Speed delivered a part to us on Friday for an install Saturday, Eric from Helix offered to help out with labor, Tuls hung out and offered moral support, Jack from Unichip came over and discussed future stuff, Phil Wicks gave me an encouraging talk about possible racing in the future and help with the series, Victor from Mini Works offered his help and weighed our R56, Mike from Aesthetic Creations was a great dinner companion, the guys over at Texas Speedworks came and borrowed my tools and Mike offered a 17mm stubby to remove a mount for a belt change, had a good chat with GoMiniGo, even Barry from MC2 made some time on Sunday to chat.
In my opinion, the cooperation is what makes this community a great one. I respect anyone who can offer a hand and talk openly about what they are working on with a competitor. This is truly a good community, and I am glad my wife and I are a part of it (thanks to all of you who made her feel welcome as well!).
Now it is back to shipping intakes, building and installing two more TurboKompressor kits and finishing up a couple of turbo Elise cars. Then, it is on to the R56 parts and the R53 catback!
Thanks again to this community for your continued support, patience and excitement.

I forgot to mention a couple other folks that I certainly wanted to thank as well:
Tim who wrenched without me asking for it and without expectation of any compensation (for love of the game)!
And the White Roof Radio boys who Vicky and I had a blast with (including some late night rooftop action
)!
I'm sure I'll keep amending as I think of others - my brain is still recovering from the sunburn...
