MSD High Power Ignition Coils & NGK Plugs Now At Pelican Parts

MSD bolt-in coils are designed with improved materials and windings to produce a stronger spark. This improved spark helps burn the fuel mixture more efficiently resulting in a smooth idle and improved mid range rpm power. The factory coil packs have a serious problem with rust starting on lead number 3. The rust is a factory issue that even to this day has not been addressed. No matter what climate you live in this will eventually start to occur. If left long enough the rust slowly migrates to all 4 leads. The negative effect this has is reduced spark to the spark plug resulting in poor mileage and reduced performance. The Brass leads on the MSD will not rust. Also be sure to check out our article on Replacing the coil pack on the MINI Cooper. Also included is new hardware to fit the coil to the valve cover. Along with the MSD coil, it's recommended that you upgrade the ignition leads and use a set of colder spark plugs.
