the Mini Meet West 2020 hotel has filled up our block of rooms, but today we had them add a few more rooms. We have posted alternate hotel options and some camping options on the website. Book your accommodation soon as Victoria is very busy at this time of the year. Hope to see you there. Mike

Mini Meet West 2020 Cancelled for June 2020

The MMW2020 Organizing Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the MMW2020 event in Victoria BC this year. We do not make this decision lightly, but we realize that protecting the health of our Mini friends and their families, as well as our sponsors and partners is a higher priority than holding the meet. We have worked with all our venues and the other Mini clubs with the intent of moving the event to the same time next year in beautiful Victoria, BC. Stay tuned for future updates.

Why are we doing this?

Given the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the restrictions in place for travel and border crossings, the lack of medical travel insurance, and the increasing number of infected people we feel the risk to the attendees could be high from both a medical and a financial perspective. There is no end date that we can be assured that the pandemic and all the restrictions are going to be over.

What happens next?

The MMW2020 team will be closing the registration page, and issuing refunds to the attendees. The fees paid will be returned as paid in Canadian currency, through PayPal in the next few weeks. (Please note that with currency fluctuations of the Canadian Dollar, the US$ refund amount may vary slightly from when you registered).

If you prefer to commit to MMW2021, then let us know (2020MMWVic@gmail.com ) and we will hold your registration for MMW2021 and use your MMW2020 payment towards next year’s meet.

We will continue to be in communication with you via Facebook and email on MMW2021. Thank you all for your support for Mini Meet West. Keep safe and well, and we hope to see you at MMW2021.

The block booking for the host hotel is cancelled and all reservations within the block will be cancelled at the same time, attendees do not need to call in. If you had made extended reservations or other reservations for accommodation or ferry reservations, you will have to cancel these yourself. Support our Sponsors
