registration is now open, 3/17/16. I just registered. This is my first event, for those who have attended in the past when do they announce hotel or event locations, other than just a city name?

I initially made the same mistake as I was looking at the site on my iPhone. You have to click Rally & Events in the menu.

MTTS Transport California to Atlanta - We have 19 of the 20 spots filled for the Northern California shipments so there is only one sport left.

There are openings for SoCal folks that want to transport their cars to Atlanta. If any Arizona people want to join on board let us know and we can try arrange something.

Time is running out and we are finalizing things SOON. PM me or email pooper@wildblue.net

Cheers

Hey all, we at Detroit Tuned will be having a small open house during MTTS this year, there will be light snacks and drink while also allowing you to stop by and see what we're all about.

Unfortunately we are too overwhelmed with work to run a leg of the rally with you, but we will have an open door from 9:30-6, as well as offering roadside/emergency service for those in need while on the leg of MTTS nearest our location.

Currently we have a few cars in need of service that will be passing through, but if you are in need of light work or emergency repair please let us know as soon as possible, we will try to be as accommodating as possible but the rally will only be in town for a brief period of time.

Don't forget that we have all sorts of fun and exciting apparel or product, most of which is in stock and ready to walk out the door with you!

Didn't make it to Dragon Brewswap this year? We have 2016 pint glasses!

Your car not have enough stickers? We have stickers that will cover near all sizes of dents, dings, or exposed windows!

Your shirt not fast enough? We have t-shirts in all varieties of colors, sizes, and cut!

Too cold? Don't worry, we've got hoodies, sweatshirts, and beanies. You might even get lucky enough and Chad will share his Snuggie with you!

Most importantly, are you sick of never having a bottle opener to open your favorite bottle of refreshing drink? Time to class up your keys with a Detroit Tuned bottle opener keychain!!

We hope to see you all on the way through, and wish you all a safe and trouble free drive, but if trouble arises we'll be there to help you out!

The MTTS schedule for July 14th includes:
"SURPRISE & DELIGHT.
Gourmet Cupcake Shoppe & Luxe Chocolates
1908 S. Saginaw Rd. Midland, MI 48640
TIME: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Take Michigan eggs, sweet creamy butter and whole milk. Add plenty of attention to detail and the rest is gourmet cakes, cookies and exquisite hand-dipped chocolates."

I live in Midland. It will be great to see so many MINIs in town.

Be aware that there is construction on Saginaw Road which narrows the normal two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction in places. This combined with the local traffic may create some bottlenecks.

The Midland Daily News suggests routing after the Gourmet Cupcake stop will be north on Saginaw Road to Eastman Road. Some drivers may want to consider departing off the side entrance to the parking lot on E. Patrick Road leading to US business 10 instead of Saginaw Road and avoid some of the congestion. If you park near this side exit, it will also be easier to get out. Alternatively, consider taking a right turn on Saginaw Road when exiting and then the next right on E. Patrick Road.

For those interested in a diversion, there are a couple other events going on in the Midland area near the route of MTTS on July 14th.

Bay City, about 15 miles east of Midland, begins its Tall Ship Celebration.

The Moving Wall, a half-sized replica of the National Vietnam Memorial, will be escorted through Midland beginning at Valley Plaza at 9 AM and continuing on Saginaw Road for part of its journey.
