Our first North East - New York Metro and Long Island MINI Cooper BBQ outdoor Convention and Rally is planned for May 20th and 21st 2006 at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration on Round Swamp Road Old Bethpage, Long Island New York. We have commitments from many sponsors; including Habberstad Motorsports, Hassel MINI and Hampton MINI Dealerships, White Castle Hamburgers, GRAFIK DEZINE Shop, ALTA Performance Products, NUZZO Brothers Racing Team, HELIX Minisports, PILO Racing and of course playing LIVE music will be the Strange But Surf Band plus more…We have also invited local Deli’s and BBQ catering places to set up shop and sell goodies – team all ‘mini’ is strictly observed here…Our charity of choice, The Salvation Army, will be attending and looking for your generosity. This Two Day event will include a MINI Cooper Show with awards covering many categories, as well as a People’s Choice awards for the MINI Drivers oddity contest. Pending permits from the Old Bethpage Village Restoration and the local police department, we plan to have our Premier Introductory Autocross event by USMCAA the US Mini Club Autocross Association of Long Island.
