6000 miles in my 06 S Cabrio from AZ to PA and return
 

[FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]My Sep/Oct 2010 6K roundtrip to PA and return to AZ. I combined this trip with visiting friends and family, researching my ancestry and spending the long weekend with friend and family in Dushore, PA. What a great trip, spent 20+ days on the road. Traveled from AZ to Lawton, OK to spend a few days with friend then onward to Smithland, KY to research my lineage and first American ancestor who arrived in 1785. North to the southern parts of Illinois and Indiana to visit cousins and more family history research including remote family cemeteries. Then focused on traveling to Scranton, PA to pick up friend at airport and spend the weekend at her parents in Dushore. Met up with a local Mini group cruising the roads of Eagles Mere. Dropped friend back at airport and headed for Columbus, OH the city of my birth. Visited the old neighborhood and my Gramps grave. Next, northern Indiana and Illinois for more ancestry research before dropping in on friend in Independence, MO. Then back to my friend in Lawton, OK before a mad dash home to AZ. Whew! On return trip my odometer hit 30K and my front tires were splitting so laid over a night in Ohio to wait for tires. My cousins in Indiana could not believe I was traveling that distance in such a small vehicle. They said I was “roller skating” across America. I cannot wait to make a similar trip to the NW. Currently working on plans to build a small lift-up travel trailer to pull behind my Mini. “Happy trails, to meeee, until I write again….”[/SIZE][/FONT]
