Looks great! And that's on STOCK JCW suspension?? in that case, maybe my h-sports will be a bit lower. INTERESTING!

*EDIT* Just saw your sig...you do have h-sports! Hmmmm

I'm thinking a 215 x 45 x 17 is almost the same as a 215 x 40 x 18.

I'm I wrong?

try this tire size calculator

this one's even better, IMHO. Let's you compare 5 different sizes, show pictures of each on a graphed scale, speedometer differences and tells you who makes those sizes.

I went from the stock 205/45X17 to 215/35X18 on a 18X7.5 ET42 rim with absolutely no rubbing at all, EVER! When those wore out, though, I thought I wanted a slightly softer ride, (although I had actually never hit the rim on a pothole) so I went to 215/40X18. BIG DIFFERENCE. They are nearly an inch taller!

Got the slightly softer ride, had to get used to the sidewall flex in the handling, and they rub when hitting bad dips. All this on stock suspension.

I think next time I might go with 205/40X18 since that is the size JCW uses on their 18s. They are only a half inch taller than the 215/35X18. Maybe being 10mm narrower would prevent the rubbing.

Plug in all the sizes you're considering and you'll see the differences!
