215/45's / M7 Springs / 37mm Offset?
:grin: I just recieved my new OZ Crono's from Tire rack!
:confused: After looking at them I'm concerned they are going to rub. I'm currently at the stock height, but have M7 springs in hand to install. Here's the planned setup - 17" OZ Crono HTs - 37mm offset wrapped in 215/45s with M7 springs. Sounds like I'm looking @ trimming. Can someone post a link to a "How To" or pics of what I'm going to need to do? If I leave off the springs, will I need to trim? |

Some rubbing will have to do with the squareness of the tire's shoulders, if more square then less clearance and higher chance of rubbing. I would estimate that any rubbing will be slight, worse with two people in the back seat and worse with dips in the road or with cornering hard. For slightly more clearance 215/40-17 tires will work on a lowered MINI. If you use stock springs then no need to trim. For the M7 springs call M7 and ask them about rubbing with your wheels and tires. |
Do yourself a favor and go with 215/40 series as it looks MUCH better than 215/45... Oh and you won't have trouble with rubbing at all...
