Can't decide between these tires

I have thorougly looked at the Kumho ECSTA SPT's, the Yoko AVS ES100's and the Bridgestone RE750's. i cannot decide between the three. I know the Kumho and Bridgestone have a better tread rating than the AVS 100, but I haven't heard much from MINI owners of their results with the Kumho's or bridgestone's. Is there anybody out there that has owned a pair of the Kumho's or the Bridgestone's and could share their experience with these tires? Thanks

Haven't owned any of them...heard great things about the Kumho MX tire and I love my Flakens 615's and have heard nothing but praise for the Falken Ziex 512 and the 452. From what I've read on these boards, the Bridgestone tire had an excellent rep.

On the tread rating, they are generally meant to compare tires across one brand. Kuhmo's 240 might be equal to Yoko's 260 to Bridgestone's 220. I did hear rumor that the industry is working on a standardization.

thanks for that info. My wheel is the 16" so the only problem with the MX is it is only available with a 205/45/16 which I think might be a little to uncomfortable and the gas mileage will be worse. since i live in SoCal I will hardly see rain so I was looking for a tire with a nice balance between treadwear and performance. So far the Bridgestone's suits my needs

I have the Kumho spt in 205/45/17. They have 17m on them now with
probably 50% tread left (including a track day). I would consider another
set but in 215/45/17. I have not heard very good things about the ES100. Just my 2 cents.

I have the Yoks ES100 and dont like them.
They tramline on the highway that drives me crazy.
In the wet rain they are also not impressive. I would not buy them again.

We have a set of the 215/40/17 Kumho SPTs on my wife's MCC and love them. They are very sticky on dry pavement, and channel water very well in the rain - remaining stickier than the Dunlop 9000 and Yoko AVS ES100. We have about 7k miles on them and they are wearing much slower than the ES 100s. I'll likely buy them again!

I'm waiting for my wheels to get here but I bought a set of Nitto Neogen tires. These tires are new but I've heard good things about them. Very sticky and very good in the rain. I hope to get them mounted by early next week. I would love to hear from anyone that might have these as well. They are a 205/50/16.
