okay...so who's been hit
Argh! My MCS has been hit. A friend of mine forgot my car was parked behind him and backed right into it. This happened on Sunday. He didn't even look in his rearview mirror. He just put it in reverse and about 10 feet later wham! I heard the crunch from inside his house and was trying to convince myself it was nothing. The front right side was hit, the right side of bumber was dangling on the ground. It looks like nothing was damaged beyond the bumper and hood which is the only positive i can come up with so far. The entire hood and bumber and some plastic around the wheel needs to be replaced. Anybody know a good body show in Morris County, NJ
I asked my MINI dealer up in Morristown, they recommended a shop locally - can't remember the name offhand - Great Bear Body & Collision? I have the business card in my car, will post later on. I had similar damage (no dangling though) from a collision last snow storm, estimate is close to $1600. I have not yet repaired it, will probably get a few more estimates.
Sorry to hear about your car, painful to look at the damage.

>>What does this have to do with Tires, Wheels, & Brakes?
Was wondering the same thing. Maybe it applies since the car that did the hitting didn't hit the brakes in time.
And I have been hit, too. It was back in Jan, in Morristown on my way to get the 32.1 ECU upgrade. All fixed now, but it SUCKS to see your baby in less than perfect condition.

Damn!!! Got my car washed today and my detailer noticed a big ol' scratch and a couple little dents along the lower driver's side body. It must have been hit last night. I've only had the car since December and this is the 2nd time it was damaged. Went to the body shop that fixed her up the first time. He estimated the damage at about $600. He said if it was his car, he would NOT fix the dents. He's offered to buff out the scratches for free next week. What do you guys think I should do?
