hello just picked up my Mini jcw just last night

from the santa ana mini dealer. But driving home the flat tire monitor went off. I checked the tires and nothing. WTF.

It's a malfunction but I now have to drive back to the dealer tomorrow again. SUX...40 min drive from my house.

Anyone had same experience with the flat tire monitor?

Will post new picts tomorrow morning.

Welcome, Andaya! Before you go back to your dealership, check to make sure all of the tires have the recommended tire pressure in them. You can look in the driver side door jamb for that or check your MINI owner's manual. Hope that helps!

Did it come on again after resetting it? If it didn't come back on, I wouldn't worry about it. Perhaps the dealer filled up the tires and forgot to reset the monitor (it's supposed to be reset after changing tire pressure or changing/rotating tires)

Andaya,

I had the same problem when I picked up my new JCW last week. Twenty miles on the clock and the light went on. I stopped the car, checked things out and reset the flat tire button. No problem with it since.

I really did not Astro black until I saw pictures of yours. Nicely done! I think it would look even better with an Aero kit!

Yes you have to see it, the black is really nice. I guess the trade off is having the JCW kit.

Sweet ride. I like your wheel choice- looks good with the JCW brakes peeking out.
