Mixing tires
Mixing tires
Don't worry I am not mixing runflats with normal stuff but here's the situation - got 4 Conti CSC2 on my car at the moment, the rear can probably still 15k miles while the fronts are lucky to get another 2k miles out of them. Been offered some P-Zero asimmetrico at a very good price, so can I possibly put the P-Zero up the front and keep the rear as is?
Is that alright or I'll be better to ditch all my CSC2 and throw the P-Zero on all corners?
Thanks

ideally you'll want to use the same tires on all 4 corners...but if you're
willing to experiment (and have room to experiement in terms of open
roads/parking lots, etc) then you can try running the new tires on the
rear and your rear 15k left tires on the front.
if you're going to track them, you'll probably want to get 4 new tires.

Yeah, what kenchan said. Different tires handle.... well, differently. Especially near the limits - like on a track - but maybe also when you're trying to avoid an accident.
