Factory wheel lock question

I picked up a set of wheel locks yesterday. I noticed that the plastic cap pictured in the accessory brochure is not there. The box was sealed so it was not tampered with. Did BMW just stopped providing them???

Most Intriguing...I got mine December 05 and they did come with the little plastic caps. I'd ask the dealership what's up.

I got wheel locks installed at the dealer when I picked up my car back in Oct 04. They all had the plastic covers. However, now I'm down to 3. I think one came off at Summit Point.

when i used the locks, i didn't use those caps. they're HUGE vs the other
non-capped lugs.

Apparently, there's two types of wheel locks: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.d...21&hg=36&fg=25

I just happened to get the one without the covers. And from the looks of things, the cap would not fit on the lock I have. According to the site, there's supposed to be only one key per set. But I have two

Interesting, my wife's '05 MCSa has the style with the caps (one key) and my '06 MCS has the style without the caps. I, too, got two keys - one was in the toolkit in the openning on the top and one was in with the jack on the lug handle.
