215 - 40 - 17 tires?

They'll fit and work fine, right. I have stock 17" wheels on my S and I'm looking to change tires. I plan on getting a light weight wheel setup later and then switching the tires over.

Anyone have this size? I was looking at the Dunlop Sp Sport Fm901 tires. Look like they would be like the Falken Azenis I had on my Golf. Anyone tried these tires?

Dunlop FM901's

I have a set of the FM901's in a 215/45-17 on Konig Holes. Nice tires but I wore them out in one summer with only limited aggressive driving. No track time or auto-x. I put them on in the spring to go to the Dragon and I was really impressed with the handling in both wet and dry conditions. They had about 20K on when I switched to the winter tires and they are just about to the wear tabs and were getting extremely squirrelly in the wet. Hope that helps.

Go to this site to figure out if the diameter of the tire you want will be close enough to stock. Then you can decide if you want it:

i have a set of 215/40/17 BFG g-force sports, very happy with them, till last night when i hit a big massive pothole and destroyed the front right rim and tire, as well as the control arm back to my truck. Anyways, now i am considering the same size Eagle F1 GS-D3s.
