My local shop has these in stock, but has to order the Michelin Pilot Alpins (my second choice), and can't get the Dunlop M3 at all (my first choice). But I can't find much at all online by way of reviews on these Goodyears. The tread pattern looks a lot like the Dunlop's...

Any experience with this tire out there? Thanks.
I have them on 16" R84s (HR runflat). I had them installed early in the month, and only have around 500 miles on them. Dry handling is as vague as you would expect from a winter tire compared to summer grip. It's not bad, just isn't go-kart like grip. Ride is very comfy, and quiet. Wet driving is excellent. Driving in temps below freezing is where the tire excels. Excellent cold weather performance, wet or dry. We've only had one snow thus far, and they gripped wonderfully. Very sure footed in snow and slush. Also, they do well at high speeds (80 mph and up) in the dry. I'm satisfied.
Thanks for the feedback. When you purchased them, had you compared them with any other tire, like the two I mentioned?
I actually ordered them through MINI Germany (cheapest option for me) with new R84 wheels. I had a choice between the Dunlop M3 and Goodyears and I opted for the M3 because 1) I wanted that tire, and 2) it was less expensive than the Goodyear. My order arrived with the Goodyears as the Dunlops are no longer available through MINI. My local tire store has the Dunlops in stock, and they are quite popular over here (25% of all tires sold in Germany are dedicated winter tires). My guess is that they're both comparable. Besides, the Goodyears are made in Germany too. Ultimately, I wanted runflat winter tires and my options were the two above. I'm a member of the world's best auto-club, ADAC, so I'm not worried about being stranded (anywhere in Europe). But the grown-up in me believes the MINI S is just meant to have runflats, summer or winter. I'll be picking my wife up from the Frankfurt airport on Monday, and weather permitting, I'll see how well they do over 110 mph. For here, you need a very capable winter tire as it'll see Autobahn use.
