Would 36mm offset work on 15 inch wheels?

Would 36mm offset work on 15 inch wheels?
Hi, I am planning on getting some winter wheels and can get 15x6.5 with 36mm offset rims....would this offset work?
Or.....16x7 with 40mm offset?

I have +37 15x7, so yes they will work...What size tire are you going to use?AIs the car lowered...
