Depth of MINI hub and OZ Superleggera Questions

I'm designing some custom spacers with integrated hub rings for my OZ Superleggeras, and I was wondering if anyone knows the following:

- What is the depth of the MINI hub?

- What is the center bore on 17x7 OZ Superleggeras?

Thanks for any help!

Do you have the OZ hub centric rings? The nice metal ones that clip and retain in the wheel?

Your other option is to call OZ or take a wheel off and measure it

I do.

I think that might be what I do - I just don't have a good jack with me at the moment, so I wasn't looking forward to using the factory jack...

Just found out that the OZ Superleggeras have a 68mm center bore (thanks Alex@tirerack!). I think I'll just have to take the wheel off to measure hub depth.

Spacers on OZ Superleggeras???

You're putting spacers on you OZ Superleggeras? Wow! I've got some 16" OZ Superleggeras and Bridgestone S03s. I get some tire rub on the plastic wheel arches with no spacers. I can't image what would happen with spacers added in. Could we have very different offset?

Where do you get the rubbing? I'm only putting the spacers on the front.

The real issue is that I am putting on smaller spacers, but want something that is hubcentric. I could put on plain 4 or 5 mm spacers, but they wouldn't be hubcentric. I currently have 10mm hubcentric spacers, but they're a little too much for my tastes. That's why I'm designing some that integrate the hubcentric design with the hub centering rings for Superleggeras.

Amazingly, I get no rubbing, though I'm on the stock '05 suspension and using 215/40-17 tires.

I only get rubbing on the rear wheel arches when I hit a road dip or railroad tracks.

I think that my shorter-than-stock 215/40-17s allow me not to rub. I'm going to have to use control arm adjustment and trimming to minimize the rubbing once I lower the car.

I've heard that our '05s have some control arm adjustability. I'd be interested in hearing just how adjustable they really are. Good luck with it.

Oh. Don't forget to coat the hub side of your centering rings with some kind of grease so they don't stick to the hubs. That happened to me!

That's the best part - the centering rings will be part of the spacers! I just need to remember to coat the spacer with grease.
