New Goodyear F1's !

Just got my shipment from TireRack. 4 new Goodyear F1 tires just waiting to be put on. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3 http://www.coma.ms/Community//emoticons/emotion-2.gifhttp://www.coma.ms/Community//emoticons/emotion-2.gif

Also got the Conti-Kit from them. It is a small compressor and tire sealant kit so I can ditch the run-flats soon. Check it out here. http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/conticomfortkit/index.jsp

And then it will be time to paint my calipers... http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/g2/caliper_paint.jsp ......lol

Thanks Alex and TireRack for a great buying experience, as usual

I just bought a set of F1s for my MCoupe and use Yokohamas on my MCS.
Let us know how you like them on the Cooper.

I've got 12K on my GS-D3's so far, and I love 'em:thumbsup: After a few hundred miles, let us know your impressions. I'd be especially interested to hear if your level of confidence in the rain is as high as mine.

I've been using the 205/50R16's this summer. 7 track days and a handfull of autocrosses, along with daily driving. My take is they're a good tire for the money. The Bridgestone Pole Position is a better tire, but more expensive.

The first track day, my Goodyears lost a lot of tread on the outside of every tread block. But things have stabilized since then. Now, I'm just dealing with the fact that I have no tread left on the outside shoulder of the tires. I'm running without camber plates...

Next year, camber plates and a dedicated set of track wheels / tires.
