16's VS 17's (NeverEnding)

If theres already a post on this please drop me the link-and I apoligize ahead of time- I didnt find a great deal of stuff when I searched this--thanks!

The NeverEnding Dilema-:impatient

I have been crunching number for a little while and am wondering what everyone's input is on all this.-I am planning on doing SSR Comp wheels on my 06MCS regardless, however, I am debating between the two most common wheel sizes for this car- 16's and 17's.

Personally I love the look of 17's and with my plans to upgrade the suspension and drop the car about 1 inch, they would make the car look killer. My main concern however, lies with performance-not only on acceleration, but with braking as well. I plan on using the car for daily trans and the occasional "spirited" performance driving.

Ive run the sizes of 17's with 205/40-17 and 205/50-16 and have gotten an overall wheel diameter of actually .5 inches smaller for the 17's// With a weight difference of only 1 pound heavier for the 17's as well.

Im mainly looking for everyones input and thoughts on this. Thanks!

Unless you have a very well tuned butt dyno, you really won't notice the difference on the street. Really.
