BRAID wheels anyone?
Anybody know of this manufacturer Brraid? I was looking at Braid Fullrace "A" wheels.

Almost, but not quite. I found a domestic source instead - story here.
What dimensions are you looking for in the Braid? Cheers, Charlie |

If this guy trusts them enough to run on his RS200,
then they must be good! Attachment 193117 Sold by Demon Tweeks in the UK: https://www.demon-tweeks.com/us/brai...-of-4-2000249/ Team Illuminata seems to be the go-to place in the US: https://teamilluminata.com/collections/wheels/braid Braid wheels are highly popular with the Subaru rally crowd. |
Holy fork those are pricey. Seem like overkill for most of us, unless you are ruthlessly tracking.

The are a pretty standard wheel in the rally community

The Fullrace A listed was listed for $290 in the 17x7 size, well when I tried the site again just now on my work computer the price jumped to $576 per wheel. :(
Why can't all factory vehicles use BBS? The 18x8 BBS RF does technically clear, but it is really tight (less than 2mm clearance) so BBS recommended a 2-3mm spacer; Spacers and offset's discrepancies cause me anxiety. LOLThe OX ultraleggera is HOT too but Tire rack site (and Chat rep) confirm it's aggressive WTF? https://braidusa.com/collections/whe...14601260138538 |
I just checked and the price was $275 for the 17x7 in white.

I have a set on my BRZ. They are very nice. Build to order is helpful.
|
I just tried it and got $378 per wheel in 17x7
|
I think they're in the middle of updating their price list. Some sizes are a little more expensive than others because they're just not as common.
But the build to order thing is pretty cool, and although the wheels aren't super light, they're strong as hell. |
