xxr 536 wheels

Hey all!
is anyone out there running a set of 16x8 et 20 wheels on their mini cooper r56? I'm looking into getting a set of XXR 536s and I am concerned about the wheel poke and possible rubbing with a 215/45 tire.

I looked into it a bit more and yes they will fit but there will be a fair amount of poke, they the best tire to run on them would probably be a 205 to minimize rubbing

Compared to OEM 16" MINI wheel and tire, using 215/45-16 for tire size you will be 9mm further from inner suspension, poke out 47.1mm more and tire diameter will be 21mm smaller.

Problem with any 205mm wide tire is that it isn't the best fit for a 16x8" wide rim unless you want a stretch tire look.

For example 205/50-16 fits 5.5-7.5" wide rims, perfect for 6.5" wide rim, tire diameter 24.1"

With any lowered suspension you won't have much clearance with tire sizes larger than OEM 24.3"

sorry I actually meant so say a 215 tire would work best on them for fitment. But it looks like bnourai is running a 205/45

I had the wheels you looking at on my car before these, but at et20 the poke was too much and with 215x45's my car looked like a 4x4.. the 33 to 35et is right at the edge and looks great on r56, but the 205 makes it tuck under fender and no way there will be any rubbing.

Would it be possible to run a 215 tire on a wheel that is et 30? Without it looking strange, cause I was hoping to get a little bit more grip out of upgrading my wheels.
