235/40R17 on R55 JCW?

Hey Guys,

I’ve always been a big fan of pokey fat tires on a tiny car. I’ve been driving my R55 JCW for almost a year now and am feeling the itch.

Here’s what I’m looking at:
17x8 wheels with +25 offset
235/40R17 Bridgestone

My Clubman is stock height (Clubman S Coils) and I have no plans to lower it. I can handle a little bit of rubbing from time to time, but not interested in panel beating to fit.

So, am I nuts?

Thanks

You might get away with it on the front, but if you carry anyone in the back seats you'll probably rub the back tires.
