Mini Cooper S tire fitment 16x8

Hello all. I need help. I plan on getting Avid.1 AV19 wheels on my R56s that are 16x8 et15. I don't know what tires i need to get that will give it an aggressive look. I have BC racing coilovers and plan on closing the wheel gap. I was looking at 205/45/16. I don't want that tall of a wheel wall. does that make sense? Like i dont want a big tire but i dont want it too thin either.

I am okay with very slight stretching but would recommend none. i don't want too much camber, -2 will probably be the most i'd go. Also its a daily driver, I don't track, yet, and i'm not THAT aggressive, but sometimes like to drive a little hard (who doesn't in a MINI?)

Please Help! i'm new to fitment and could use some help soon!

Thank you! I know i'm picky but any help would be much appreciated!

Oh yeah I meant tires, my apologies. Do you think 215/45 will fit?

What type of wheels are those? Rotiform? What springs are you on?

3SDM 0.05 (Yes, "0.05" is what it's called. It's doesn't pertain to any measurement)

Hi guys I'm new here and actually from Essex in the UK

I have joined up because I came across this thread when searching for image of the 0.05 wheels on Minis! They do really look great and I've just got to have some lol.

@MNMLST @Nick Royer could you tell me what camber you're running on your rear wheels?

Also, guys over on the UK forum seem to all have 50 profile which looks a little chunky... so it's good to see some 45 business going on! Do you have any problems with your tyres?

Any other tips much appreciated.

Olly.

Camber in the back is 3 degrees. At the moment, I'm not equipped to adjust camber at the front, which is stuck 1.7 degrees. I raised the front by .25 inch to avoid rubbing. Other than that, this setup is good a balance between ride comfort, style and performance. And these wheels are fantastic!

Thanks for the reply! Wow 3° really, it doesn't look that extreme in your pictures. I hope you don't mind but I've emailed the above to a reseller I found in the UK for precisely the kind of look I want

It seems you're running standard wheel bolts too? That's good as most I've come across seem to have a stud conversion... not a problem in itself, but it's just added cost innit.

That's great, thanks.

I am getting these put on next month now, with top mounts on the front and two sets of rear control arms on the rear so should get them sitting nicely! Unfortunately it's proving hard to get the (Michelin) tyres I want in 205/45... but I shall continue my search.

Got one more question regarding these particular wheels though. Do you know if they have a 60 degree tapered seat? If so then I can go ahead and order the wheel bolts I want

Just thought I'd update this showing pictures of them now on my car. Ended up with 2.5° front and 4.0° rear camber...

could I run 205/45/16 on my stock height Clubman S with 16x8 et20 rims? I'm worried about rubbing and such... Also, will it be harder on the transmission? I know these will be slightly larger than stock.

205/45-16 is smaller diameter than stock. Stock 16 inch tire size is 195/55-16, and stock 17 inch tire size is 205/45-17. If you are still on stock suspension, you shouldn’t have any rubbing, but it will look funny...
