Wilwood brake rotor Swiss cheese ?

while checking a new groove in my rotors I noticed that the rotor is full of tiny holes. Is that normal ? I'll post pics when I get to something besides my iPhone which does not get link right from photo bucket

well looked at my stock rotors up close, I guess all rotors look porous up close, just never realized.

Hard to see without a good light on them. But those little specs are pores, and my stock rotors look that way too, just never realized how porous rotors are.

Yep, looks normal. I was thinking something more along the line of how carbon ceramics look all pitted up.

i guess I never paid such close attention. So now I see how they bed in, lots of pores. Getting ready to hit a track so prepping my car. I've seen enough bent over heated stock brakes to even try that way. Putting on brake cooler ducting this weekend to my bbk setup . Then I'll be ready.

going to run wilwood E compound on track , good enough pads for track yet can drive to track. With the brake coolers I should be able to keep brakes under 1000f
