Perhaps dumb question?
Jacking up off all 4 wheels?
I am new to this forum. Just ordered some new wheels/tires from Alex @ tirerack. I am installing myself because I want to paint calipers while they are off. I want to do all 4 at the same time so it will be on blocks. I have 4 jack stands and a roller jack. Where is the best spots to place the stands once it is up? Also appreciate any other dos and donts for this job. Thanks in advance.
p.s. I will have a set of 4 stock runflats with the 5 spoke wheels 16inch about 10k on them and great shape. Anyone care to make an offer on them. I am located in lower Michigan area

That method works great if you have expensive jack stands. If you are a mere mortal with a regular jack and stands there is a better way.
Place your jack pad anywhere on the rail that runs the between the wheels on either side of the car and has a piece of plastic covering it. It is between the unibody rail that the ultimate garage site is jacking on, and the outside of the car, and you can jack right on the plastic. This should both wheels on one side of the car. Place your jack stands at the factory jack points. A typical jack stand has a flat surface with a "finger" sticking out on each side. Place the stand so that one of the fingers goes up inside the factory jack point. You will end up with the fingers pointed toward the front and rear of the car, instead of the typical side to side.
This is not a dumb question, but you should change your post subject to something like "How to put the car on jackstands" to get the best response.
