Stock '04 MCS 17"s on '10 MC? Ok?

I sold my '04 MCS not long ago but did not part with the original 17" S Lite wheels and the Pirelli 205/45/17's. The tires have about 1500 miles on them and have been stored indoors so they're in great shape.

My daughter drives a '10 MC that has stock 16's with 195/55/16's on it and I'd like to put the 17's on the MC.

Should be ok right?

Yes, they will fit
No they lack TPMS on each wheel for the current MINIs.
Yes, you can remove the TPMS on the newer wheels and put them in their respective older wheels if you care to have no TPMS light on the dash.

The wheel bolt pattern should be the same so the wheel should mount. You cannot interchange the wheel bolts, however. The bolt threads are different.

The '10 MC will need TPMS sensors mounted on the wheels. They can be purchased at pretty well any tire dealer or used from the 10's wheels and remounted on the S-lites. My opinion is they are not cheap.

As much as I like the looks of the 17" S-Lite wheels, they are noticeably heavier than the 16" wheels so your daughter will notice a difference in performance.
