15" R81 Imola "holies" on a R56 non S?

I've been looking around for a solid answer but I'm getting conflicting results.

Am I to understand that the R81 Imola "holies" WILL fit a non S R56 MINI?

The part where I'm confused is that I read they will not fit the R56 because of the larger brakes(gen 1 JCW?) but does that apply to ALL R56s or just the S?

Thanks everyone for helping this newb out.

They're standard on new Coopers, so I presume they fit.

15"s won't fit on an S, but are standard on a Cooper. The larger brakes are on the S, the Coopers have something smaller.

Alright, that's what I thought. I'm new to MINIs so I wasn't sure if the holies had changed from gen 1 to gen 2.

As long as the R56 cooper has base brakes you can use the holey 15" wheels

Stock R56 cooper with 15" holey(Imola) wheels and 205/50-15 tires

So, these wheels will not fit my 2011 hardtop Mini S? No 15" will fit my car. It has to have 16 or 17"? I am trying to buy some winter wheels and tires. thanks.

Find a set of 16" take offs. Sometimes they can be had for a bargain price. Tire Rack also has cheap alloys that would work.

Yup, they fit the MC HT non-Turbo. With a little elbow grease and a few rattle cans you can make them look great and go faster too!

The problem is the size of the Cooper S front brake calipers which may be too large to work with OEM 15" MINI wheels.

If you go to tirerack.com and enter upgrade garage as an R56 Cooper S you can see what wheels and tires are possible for winter/snow use.

hey guys!!! Thanks for all your advice and help. I found some 17's locally with like new snow/ice tires.
Cheers!!

great pic - so the imolas will work fine with 205/50-15?

Yes, 205/50-15 fit rims 5.5-7.5" wide no problem, however that tire size is smaller than OEM tire size.

205/55-15 and 195/60-15 are better sizes for street use, 205/50-15 common for track or autocross use.
