Well, every one said that it won't wark, that 225 is just to wide, but We ran the 225 Tires today, with great success. There is some very minimal rubbing in the back, nothing a heat gun couldn't fix. The turing power was great though. it was a bit cold, so could not keep the temps up high enough for good adhesion but when running close together, It got some good times.

makes you wonder if going to 225/45 or even 225/40 would ameliorate the rubbing issue. if I can get a cheap set in either size, I'll be the guinea pig...
yeah I know each car is different  M |
it if was 225 45, that would be perfect. the 225 50 is a HUGE! tire, but i get almost no wheel spin in corners while acceleration. They only thing that I did was runn full negative camger on the H-Sport Camber adjustment.

Can you tell us what wheel width and offset you were using?
|
and what tires you're using?
Thanks. |
I'm using the Monza SSR Look-a-likes. Not sure of the offset... the tire is a Kuhmo Vitoracer v700 225-50-r16

Dan:
Did you happen to get a pic of your own car to show everyone? Might be fun. Like 4 marshmellows. But they did work good! BTW, did you happen to get some good shots of me with that fancy Minolta? |
Go to www.thepilo.com/images/autox for the pics of my car on 3 wheels, and possibally 2 wheels. I also have 2 of your car in there.
|
Hey Dan...you going to be up at Giants Stadium on Sunday?
|
not sure.. I'm probably going to be at E-town on next saturday.... This sunday is undecided as of yet... though it is on a diffrent lot, which would be a nice change from lot 18....
|
I think the Monza's are 44mm offset.
