Centerline Neutron Forged 17x7 +42

Just wanted to share my new wheels - sub 14lbs.
First pick is how I got them.
Crazy amount of polishing needed to get them back in shape.
Really like the look, the rears are flush.
Springs are NM RSa's.

Nice! More pictures f this wheel, please! I'm thinking of getting the exact same wheel in that size and offset. 18.7 lbs is a little heavy for an aftermarket 16 in wheel, though still an improvement over most oem wheels. What wheels did you have before, and did you notice a difference in performance with the new wheels? Thanks!

Before and after.

Nothing special, but dramatic difference I think.

I imagine those wheels wouldn't work with R53 stock JCW front calipers?

I want it, I want it, I want it! I don't have room in my garage, but maybe my wife would let me keep it in the living room since we don't use it very much. I had a friend years ago who kept his motorcycle in his bedroom.

Hi, These look great and fill the wheel well nicely. I'm looking to getting the NM RSe12's for my 08 R56 S and would like to use the same tire size. So are you employing any spacers in your setup? Thanks

Hi Minimota,

Thnaks I'm running 5mm spacers with the NM's. Tires are 215/40/18.

I have these rims that you were looking at as a set up 16" rim with the same size tire as my run flats but with non runflats. The rims are light and look great. I took them off of my 2012 Coupe and have them in my back room waiting for Spring to put them on my 2014 Coupe if I don't decide to replace the 16" with 18" rims. BUT If your still thinking about these rims all I can say is that they have gotten a lot of complements from people when they see them on my car.

How I love how those wheels look on your Mini! How did your ride quality change (felling everything on the road) going from stock wheels and tires? Did you lose any acceleration or MPG?

Thanks Systemlord. In terms of performance, switching to the NM RSe07's shaved 4.5lbs of unsprung weight from each corner. I believe the rule of thumb is losing 1lb of unsprung weight is equivalent to losing 4lbs of sprung weight. What that equates to is better performance, slightly quicker acceleration, improved braking(less mass to stop), suspension reacts quicker, etc.. The ride with the new 18's compared to the factory run flats is not that much different, perhaps even a little better, turn in, grip, no comparison. Bottom line, it's a performance gain.

Finally got new wheels and tires. First real modification I've made on any car. This car has inspired me NM Engineering 17x7.5 and BFG Comp IIs. Very happy. First thing I thought was "those wheels look how I hoped they would." Then I thought "still crazy big wheel gap and those brakes are ugly...this is going to get expensive!" Anyway, I am pleasantly surprised at the difference in handling from stock wheels and run flats. I swear I can feel a huge difference taking off from a stop. Don't know how much weight he lost but it must be significant. I didn't even realize how badly the run flats wanted to slow down in corners...Everything feels easier and quicker now and though I won't say the ride is smooth or quiet, the jarring edge has been dampened and I can turn the music down a bit and still hear it. The rattles are also reduced. Money well spent.

Brand new a year ago.

New set up.

Does anyone know the wheel and tire size of this particular setup. I'm assuming it's a 16x7, but what about tire size? I found this on Google images and it's the perfect look for what I'm going for.

Thanks!
