ST Coilovers and Konig Feathers installed. Spacers NOT NEEDED.
Well, today was the day! I took my car in to get rid of my Konig Rush/Falken Espia winter set, and have my Feather/S.Drive combo mounted. I also had my ST coilovers and 5mm front spacers installed. I have H-Sport LCA as well, but they want to install them when I go back for an alignment. I may go lower at that point.
The feathers are 16x7, et40. Tech said that he didn't need the spacers and that there was a lot of clearance for the collar. They installed them anyway for some reason... I would have sold them in the marketplace.
Oh well!
I haven't had a chance to drive the car hard yet, but I do have some first impressions. Ride is a little more firm than stock suspension, but not jarring or bumpy. You feel the road but it is compliant. It does seem to grip better now, although my judgement is muddied by coming from winters. I was able to break traction hitting redline out of a sharp corner, but normally the ASC light would go off way before 7k RPM. Steering feels generally more responsive.
I'm not sure how much lower I can go, the tech just set it where he thought it would clear speedbumps and not "rip off my fender if I hit a washboard corner," but I know there is some room to go lower. He said it was at 24" all around. I assume that is ground to fender? I did scrape the bumper lip coming up my driveway, but going slower the next time it was fine. I am going to cut it off anyway.
Here are some before and after pics:
