Has anyone tried the new Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Positions?

Debating on whether to get the Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS or the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. I had the DWS in my previous car and I thought they were pretty good. Has anyone tried the new 970AS in a MINI? Anyone try them in the snow?

Dry and wet performance are phenomenal.

No confidence in ice or snow, tires spin and skid easily if the pedals are not babied.
Prepare to use the handbrake while going into turns on snow or ice because car will understeer easy.

Do not trust tire rack snow ratings, I doubt anyone that gave it a 9 in the snow has actually tried them in snow. I would give it a 6. I had better winter performance from $60 khumos.

The 970AS's are 'all season' summer tires.

no, the analogy is that it got tons of grip in the dry and wet and doesn't work at all in the snow, like a summer tire, but with the benefit of maintaining it's dry and wet performance in freezing temperature

Well...has anyone tried them yet? I want to know because their ratings are off the charts for me! I was contemplating on the Continental ExtremeContact DWS but I found these to be better.
