XXR 522 in 16x7 or 16x8 with +25 offset okay?

My 2011 R56 suspension is currently stock other than a RSB but I already have koni yellows with tsw springs that are waiting to be installed before xmas time. I was just wondering if my suspension (both right now and in the future with the aforementioned parts) will rub or be fine if I were to get XXR 522 wheels in either 16x7 or 16x8 with 25 offset. I'm leaning more towards the 8" but am afraid of rubbing etc. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The 8in wide wheels with a 25mm offset will poke 5mm past the wheel arch.
Depending on low-ness and tire size you pick, it could work.
However, a bloated tire will rub on the fender / arch extension.

So I guess going the 7in wide with 25mm offset would be the safest route no matter what suspension I upgrade to in the future? What tire sizes are suggested for both setups?

Not necessarily; as because the stock offset with a 7" wheel is 48mm.
Your 7" wheel with a 25mm offset, will sit some 23mm out farther than it's current position (that's just under an 1in).

A 195/55-R16 or 205/50-R16 will mostly likely be your canidates.

A 205/40-R17 or 215/40-R17 will mostly likely be your canidates.

My wheel diameter is only 16" though.

Whoops; sorry! Updated previous post with correct 16" diameter tire options.

So the different size offsets move the rim past or before the fender?
