JCW Brembo brakes and tire thoughts

So I am looking at doing some upgrades to my MINI. I have the parts to install for engine upgrades and most of my suspension upgrades are done.

Does anyone know if the JCW Brembo broaches fit under R98 webspokes? Wanting to put these on my '06 but want to know if I need to change my wheels out or not.

Also, I have decided to go with 2 different sets of wheels. While my car is not a full on daily driver anymore it does get driven. Here we only get a little snow each year but 4 to 5 months of the year the temp is around 50 degrees or below. What I am thinking is running a true summer tire for temps over 45 degrees and all-seasons for temps below that. That should give me around 6 months on each set every year. Also, that will help slow down tire wear some too.

What I am looking at are Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 215/45/17 for the summer tires and Michelin Pilot A/S+ for the all seasons. From the reviews of the all seasons I could run them all of the time but want something with a little more grip in the summer. I have been running Conti DWS and like them for the ride and noise but as the wet portion have started to thin out they have begun to get loud. Looking at alternatives.

Any thoughts? I know it's a lot but I searched and did not find anything that was really conclusive so figured I would ask directly.

The 2nd-Gen 4-pot JCW Brembo calipers do not fit under the R98 wheels.

Exactly what I do. Makes good sense.

Thanks,

Good to know about the brakes. I may or may not bother then. While they do look nice, for me they are more bling than anything. It's not that I don't enjoy spirited driving in the mountains, I just do not feel I would fully use the ability of them. I can live with my R53 JCW brakes.

Good to know I am not the only one with that tire plan. It just seemed to make sense to me.

Lower cost, lower demand use, low clearance fit, but higher on the bling scale:

DP6 "caliper kits" on either 294 or 316mm disc.
