Choosing Rear Brake pads (With Sensor)

HI
I've been trying to search a new set of rear brake pads for my 05 MCS, but i cant tell if they support the wear sensor that goes on them. I dont want to be driving around with the warning light ON, are there any other alternatives besides the MINi dealer pads option??

Do I also need to replace the sensor or does it work again when the pads are replaced??

I prefer the EBC Green Stuff pads (a whole lot less dust). They are slotted for the sensor like the OE pads. If your light is on now, you will need a new sensor. If not, you can reuse the sensor you now have ---

One alternative might be installing what ever pad you want and not worry about the wear sensors. Cut the wire to the sensor, strip each of the two conductors, tie them together and reset the light. You will no longer have an operating wear sensor system but that is more accurately replaced by periodic inspection of the pad thickness. Just a thought....
