So has anyone here had any experience with this tire or even this brand? I have always stuck with yokohama but due to money and time I can not get a set right now. Any opinions on these would be appreciated
I've run the HTR ZIII on my S2000, it was a popular tire with that crowd, I really liked them, much better than older Sumitomo offerings, especially for the price.
My wife has the HTR-ZII on her Mazda5 and when they are gone we'll likely put the ZIII on it.
When I can afford to replace my runflats the ZIII will be on top of my list.

I have run a few sets of Sumo's they are not bad for the money. Would not use during the winter, and make sure you rotate them every 3 or 4 K as I had some cupping issues with a set.
Yea the only ones I am considering are the Z3's and it is due to money. It is for a DD MINI and I have no intentions to track the car, only highway and spirited driving at times. They get mostly good to great reviews, I just hope I can squeeze ~20k miles out of them
I have falken's on the car now and they are terrible! I have had two separate sets in my life by falken and i swear never again!

I am in south Florida so I only want a tire that is good in the dry and really good in the wet, since it is for my DD and the highways can get some standing water pretty fast down here. So ice/snow is not a concern
Right now I have falken ZIEX ZE-512 that I assume came with the rims the previous owner had put on the car. They are suffering from uneven wear, tread separation, and sidewall/shoulder degridation and I do not flogg the car at all. I have never been happy with a set of falkens

III's are aysemetric, so you can cross rotate - this will help a bunch!
That's a wildly ironic statement given that TireRack sent the HTR 200's to my dealer when they were out of the Sumi's I ordered.
Well the Sumi II's were totally redesigned to make the III's.
Just giving a status update, since i just got my car back. About 50 miles on them so far but WOW o WOW it is like the car is brand new! My R53 is to me better than my wifes 2009 GTI with 17'' rims also. It looks like it will be raining here this afternoon so tonight I will post wet traction but in the dry they grip really well.
The Hancocks are rated higher in that category and a little less. I would look at other speed ratings in the summer performance categories to find a tire that suits your needs.

Well I could not afford to wait for a specific tire to be shipped out since the falkens I had were coming apart at the seams. These are some of the best Tires I have ever had. For a DD I could not be more happy with how well they balance performance & comfort. Depending on how well they wear, these will be my go to tire. If it wasn't for my tire guy having them in stock in the size I wanted ( for $93 a tire no less) I would have never even considered this brand/tire.
So, pending how well they wear, for a DD these tires are perfect.

I have heard great things about these tires. My buddy runs them on his 2005 Mercedes C230 and they wear well and grip much better than the Michelins he had before. I had a set of Ventus RS-2 tires for the longest time and I loved the grip and driveability of those tires as well. Too bad Hankook doesn't make more Mini-Friendly all-season or snow sizes too.

If you have 17s then you can get a Hancock all season tire. I think I will go with the Generals myself when I replace mine later this year. The Generals are rated just behind the Michelins but about $60 less a tire. To get these tires you need to upgrade to a 215 from a 205.
I've used the HTR Z III's in 215/45/17 flavor for a couple summers now, and they're quite nice, especially for the price. They seem to hydroplane a bit more than I'd like when running through standing water though. I'll probably give those Hankook's a try next time around.
Thats the trade off, the HTRZ III's offer the ability to cross rotate- and stay more quiet. Their aysemetric tread pattern biases the tire twards dry. the K110's are directional, so hydroplaning resisatnce is nice, but they will get louder due to not being able to cross rotate.
