What drag tires on stock rims

looking to get some drag radials or or something else to drag with but i cant find anything that matches the current size i have 205/45/17. what other sizes can i put on there and still drive fine without rubbing.

ooh and the reason i want to use the stock rims is that i have 2 spares lying around. will 225/45/17 be ok?

I ran 225/45/17 for a while... really kills the gearing. They fit with a bit of room left over, but they really kill the acceleration.

BFG has a drag radial in 205 40 17. Shorter sidewall than stock will effectively give you better gearing (your speedometer will read higher than you are actually going).

Going with a wider tire may give you more grip during the first 60', but the additional weight and rolling resistance will hurt you the rest of the way down the track.

Depending on your HP levels, a sticky 205 should perform fine for you.

thanks guys. i will look into the BFG's
