Indecisive shopper, opinions please?!!

First time wheel & tire buyer!!!

So here's my car...

I'm thinking about the 18' OZ Ultraleggera in black!

Or the SSR Type C..probably 18"

Im not sure if I should go with 17's or 18's... any ideas?

but I don't know very much about the tires... I saw the Kumho Ecsta SPT (215/35/18) that might do the job.... any opinions/suggestions?

also, can't forget the wheel locks... recommendations?? I want to make my first big mod! =)

I'm not sure I can help much here, but I got the Type-Cs in 16" anthracite. I got them because they were the lightest available (from Tire Rack anyway), but they look pretty good on a DS MINI, if you like that sort of thing. (Kind of agressive for my liking.) I have a few pictures in some threads here.

I hate the centre caps, they're just dorky, I found a cheap alternative. I also didn't put the stickers on, the stickers come separately.

Those OZs are way too angular a design for the Mini, imo. The old Superleggera was a much better fit.

Bang for the buck, it is hard to beat the TDR PR1.2.

And I think they fit the Mini really well.

Of your two choices I prefer the SSR wheels, they are semi-solid forged, so ultralight, and should be strong.
Have you considered the OZ Alleggerita? Very light, available in 17", not sure about 18" though.
I just mounted some Enkei RS+M in 17", the quality of the wheel looks outstanding, very impressive finish. Silver only, and no 18" however, but 17" look plenty big on first generation R53s.

I definitely vote for the 18' OZ Ultraleggera... Simply georgeous wheels!

For the R53, I think 17" suit it best.
