205/50/17 tires on stock 17" crownspokes?

Hello. I have stock 17" crownspokes and am badly in need of winter tires. I do not feel like ordering a full set of wheels/tires due to cost. However if thats the only option i guess i will.

Will a 205/50/17 fit. I know stock is 205/45/17 however i do not like the selection of tires available in this size. The car is not lowered, and if i ever did it would be minor with either JCW suspension or TSW springs.

If not 205/50, are there any other sizes that will fit this rim besides the stock 205/45/17?

Try a 215/45r17, many more options.
