Just got the wheels (16" Kosei K-1 Racing, Silver, "Debadged") on a little while ago and took 'em out for a spin. I can't get over how much lighter and responsive the whole car feels! Thanks Alex!

Nice work. Are you hanging onto the R90s as your winter set?

Chitown_COOP Sep 22, 2003 12:29 PM

That's the plan! (Unless someone wants to make me an offer! )

I was thinking about them in white for my BRG. How did you get them "debadged"?
Also, as I have never looked for new rims before and don't know much about them, do the Kosei's come with center caps of some sort? Or, is that the look now?

i think the r90's look better actually.... these are kinda boring in comparison. but if you like them thats cool.

I hear what you're saying, nomonsters--I love the look of the R90s. But the combination of weight, style, open design, ease of cleaning (!) and price were what made up my mind.

And yes, center caps are an option, but I wanted to try them without first. My rusty hubs are not very nice to look at, so I'll be ordering those caps today! And the debadging process consisted of my peeling the stickers off with my fingernail and then using a clay bar to clean up the sticky stuff.

In case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about on the "debadging" -- this is what the wheel looks like when it arrives:

You picked the best bang for the $ in this package.

I really like the no caps look, very "rally inspired" nice choice!

I gotta say, Alex. I love the *concept* of the no caps look, but my hubs are freaking RUSTY! Unless I can get all of the rust off and keep it at bay, I think I'm going to go for the caps, and maybe modify them for a less "clean" look...I dunno. Anyone have any ideas?

Very nice...excellent choices!!!!

I like the new simple look. Congrats!
